Với một dàn diễn viên trẻ Cát Vũ (Tim), Vy Oanh, Văn Tùng, Thanh Bình, Mỹ Dung...và đạo diễn Đặng Thí Thái Huyền cũng rất trẻ, Thiên đường vắng em là cái nhìn, cách diễn giải và giải quyết vấn đề cũng rất trẻ về tình yêu, với thông điệp dù có bao nhiêu chông gai, tình yêu đích thực vẫn sẽ sống mãi.
Bộ phim dài 32 tập sẽ được công chiếu vào lúc 20h45 các ngày thứ 4,5, 6 trên HTV7, kể từ ngày 24/9/2010
Truyện phim xoay quanh Tấn Ngọc (Tim) - một cậu bé bị bỏ rơi ở góc đường gần biệt thự giàu có, những giọt nước mắt trẻ thơ rơi ngay bên một minh chứng cho "thế giới giàu sang" đã được vẽ lên như sự tồn tại song song không thể nào tránh khỏi của thế giới này. Rồi số phận không hề công bằng với Tấn Ngọc, khi tình yêu giữa anh với Thủy Tiên (Vy Oanh) gặp những chướng ngại để hạnh phúc, họ không có cách nào để nở nụ cười. Đỉnh điểm của bi kịch được đẩy lên đến mức cao nhất khi Tấn Ngọc bị vu oan, phải tù tội, rồi lại mắc phải căn bệnh ung thư quái ác cướp đi mạng sống khi niềm vui chỉ kịp là cánh cửa hé mở rất nhỏ nơi cuối đường.
